FF&E Project Management
In FF&E decision-making, a cyclical feedback process is crucial. Identifying decision-makers and defining scope is just one facet. Our Team assists in pinpointing needs vs wants, requirements vs preferences, and helps guide appropriate products and vendor selections to help meet your current and ongoing needs. After selections are made, we meticulously oversee the myriad details to maintain consistency throughout the ordering and installation process.
Our FF&E Department collaborates with architects, designers, and stakeholders to ensure both functionality and aesthetics in the building process.
Procurement
HMK Company offers proactive FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) and procurement services across a diverse range of markets.
Our FF&E Department precisely tracks and maintains comprehensive lists encompassing placement, quantities, materials, vendors, pricing, hardware, colors, and more, to guarantee accurate, on-time, and cost-effective delivery of items, a process continuously monitored and updated for precision in quotes and deliveries.
In the ordering phase, we coordinate with vendors to generate and verify quotes, ensuring all order details are accurate before finalizing the procurement process.
Logistics
Upon verifying the purchase order, our FF&E Department coordinates with vendors to arrange delivery, with options including drop ship, off-site storage, built-holds, and direct delivery with installation, ensuring items reach the right locations at the right times based on stakeholder and construction needs.
This allows our clients to experience greater accountability and transitions that are organized, reliable, and seamless.
Installation
Once items have arrived, our FF&E Department will oversee placement, inspect for flaws, verify accuracy of the order, and initiate negotiations for corrections and replacements as needed.
After the initial installation, stakeholders may want to add items to their order. With the standards in place, we can easily create and expedite follow up orders to ensure complete satisfaction.
After installation we continue to assist stakeholders by liaising with vendors and manufacturers to ensure warranty coverage. We provide all needed information and guidance on warranty procedures to safeguard your purchases.

Emily Valdez
HMK Company FF&E Director
Emily brings over 20 years of experience in education to support school districts in ensuring their vision, design, and academic programming are aligned through the entire process. Throughout her career she has served as a teacher, principal, K-12 Curriculum Director, and point person for her district’s 200-million-dollar bond program which has given her a well-rounded background for helping schools define and realize their vision.
Being able to serve schools by supporting the creation of purposeful and powerful spaces designed for optimal learning opportunities is what makes this work meaningful for her. Her time working with HMKCo has helped with the successful completion of over 30 schools as well as various other facilities.
